6 powerful Benefits that Baobab powder can bring to your body.
1. Anti-aging superfoods
The baobab fruit and powder are rich in vitamin C and believed to have antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.
This makes it a powerful natural anti-aging super food, a great reason to whizz up a choc mint slushy now 😉
2. Prebiotic gut health
Our gut is our “second brain” and with more bacteria in our gut than cells in our body, it makes sense that we should be looking after it!
Baobab Fruit Powder is composed of 50% Dietary Fiber, 75% of which is soluble Prebiotic Dietary Fiber.
Its effectiveness as a prebiotic has been proven both in research and its traditional use in Africa.
It is said that Baobab Fruit Powder has a positive prebiotic effect on certain probiotic gut flora. Baobab Fruit Powder can significantly increase the production of two of the three key bacterial groups; Bifidobacteri and Lattobacilli.
3. Blood sugar stabilizer
Baobab has a low Glycemic Index due to its rich dietary fiber content, and specifically its soluble dietary fiber which slows down the rise in blood glucose, helping prevent sugar spikes. It is also high in polyphenols which have been shown to affect the release of sugars from carbohydrates into the bloodstream, reducing their conversion into glucose.
So by stabilizing the blood sugar and having such a high fiber content, it is an ideal superfood to include on your health journey if you are needing to lose any excess weight.
Adaptogens are a select group of plants that support the body’s natural ability to deal with stress. They are called adaptogens because of their unique ability to “adapt” their function according to the specific needs of the body. This may be physical, chemical, or biological needs.
Adaptogens are natural substances that increase the ability of the human body to react and adapt to stressors.
Baobabs’ unique combination of vitamins and minerals makes it a highly effective adaptogen and thereby helping the body cope better with stress, anxiety, fatigue, and tiredness.
5. Blood Alkalizing
Blood Alkalinity is believed by many to be the key to greater overall health, lowering illness and promoting longer living.
The majority of the modern day diet is far too acidic and as a result causes many problems like premature gaining, digestive problems, ulcers, arthritis, heart disease, slow recovery, poor immune system, and the list goes on. Its like throwing acid onto a beautiful car…..it’s going to destroy it!!!
For our bodies to function optimally, we should make sure that we have an alkaline pH blood level, and the best way to do that is by eating more alkalizing foods, like baobab, hemp hearts & cacao nibs, which are all featured in out choc mint slushy!
Now just a note, going too far in the opposite direct is also not healthy, balance is key here!
6. Supports Heart & liver health
Two essential organs (just like every other one), but our heart and liver really do play a vital part in helping us feel, look, and live our best lives.
By supporting both organs we are able to do and enjoy more in our lives with less stress & struggle placed on the body.
Including baobab into your diet every week will bring massive benefits to your health & happiness.
