So we have put together 5 of our favorite Summer ice lolly recipes for you to make for your family and have on hand whenever they are looking for a fruity and refreshing snack.

Ingredient ideas for your Summer Ice Lolly recipes

It is pretty simple, it will literally be your choice of the following liquids, powders & extras.

 

Liquid:
  • Water
  • Plant-based milk (coconut, almond, soy, oat, rice etc……our favorite is coconut milk. Our coconut creamer also works really well!)
  • Freshly pressed juice
  • Left-over smoothie mix

 

Your choice of Superfood powders can include:
  • Acai berry
  • Sea Buckthorn
  • cacao
  • Spirulina
  • Moringa
  • Purple potato
  • Baobab powder
  • Maca powder
  • Or any of our protein shakes (baobanana, super berry, peanut butter, pumpkin pie, green chi, or our intelligent protein)

 

And then finally (optional) you can choose a ‘sprinkle’ for on top.
  • Our favorites are goji berries, cacao nibs, hemp hearts & our DIVINE Peanut butter granola.

 

Depends on how many you are making and the intensity you will like to taste, utilizing anything between 2 and 5 tablespoons of the preferred powder.

1) Emerald Angel – Spirulina or Moringa or GreenChi Protein Powder

 

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups fresh apple juice
  • 2 tbsp spirulina powder (if you have the capsules you can empty 5 capsules into your mix)
  • Blend together & pour into your ice lolly containers & freeze until solid

 

Health benefit*:

This blue-green algae is a freshwater plant that is now one of the most researched and, alongside its cousin chlorella, most talked about superfoods today

2) Golden Goddess – Sea Buckthorn 

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple juice
  • 3 tbsp Sea Buckthorn Powder
  • Blend together & pour into your ice lolly containers & freeze until solid

 

Health Benefits*:

Very high in Vit C & Vit B12, this makes Sea Buckthorn a go-to when you are wanting to achieve gorgeous clear glowing skin.

 

It helps reduce many issues with skin which include premature aging, acne, dermatitis, dry skin, eczema, skin ulcers, stretch marks & wounds.

 

The berries seed oil can be applied directly to the skin for preventing sunburn and providing sunburn relief, healing wounds like bedsores and cuts, reducing the appearance of fine lines as well as eliminating scarring from acne.

3) Berry Bliss – Acai or Super Berry protein powder

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh cranberry juice
  • 1 cup fresh apple juice
  • 3 tbsp Acai powder or Super Berry protein powder
  • Blend together & pour into your ice lolly containers & freeze until solid

Most of the health benefits of acai berries are due to their extremely high antioxidant content, which is why it’s said to have a high “ORAC score.”

4) The Snow Queen – Hemp Hearts & Coconut creamer

  • 1 cups of water
  • 1 cup coconut milk (or mix 4 tbsp coconut creamer into 1 cup water)
  • 1 cup fresh grape juice
  • ¼ cup tbsp hemp hearts

Mix together (for a super creamy texture, blend in a Nutribullet until the hemp hearts smooth), pout into your ice lolly containers and freeze until solid.

5) Banana baby – Baobab powder or Baobanan Protein powder

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup coconut milk (or mix 4 tbsp coconut creamer into 1 cup water)
  • 2 bananas
  • 3 tbsp Baobab powder OR Baobanan Protein Powder
  • Blend together & pour into your ice lolly containers & freeze until solid
